SEO Receipts

SEO RECEIPTS VS GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE

The source and the receipt do different jobs.

Google Search Console is the first-party workspace for understanding how a property appears in Google Search. SEO Receipts reads selected data from that source and turns it into public proof, distribution assets, and optional private next-step work.

SIDE-BY-SIDE

Different jobs, different strengths.

DECISION POINTSEO RECEIPTSGOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE
Primary jobPublish and distribute source-backed organic traffic proof; optionally turn private evidence into a prioritized task.Monitor, filter, inspect, and troubleshoot a site's presence and performance in Google Search.
Data sourceRead-only Search Console API data for a property the connected account can access.Google's own Search performance, indexing, enhancement, and property-management interfaces.
Public proofA stable public profile with verification state, date windows, headline metrics, and owner-controlled supporting detail.Designed as a property-owner workspace; sharing usually means granting access or exporting selected data.
DistributionPublic leaderboard, receipt links, share images, live badges, and traffic duels.Exports and account access support analysis and collaboration rather than public discovery.
Detailed diagnosticsFocused private comparisons plus selected sitemap and URL Inspection evidence; not a full Search Console replacement. The broader first-party interface for property setup, Performance reports, URL Inspection, indexing, and related diagnostics.
Next-step workflowOptional paid Workbench selects one evidence-backed priority and can prepare a Fix Kit, Article Kit, or bounded agent handoff.Provides reports and tools; the owner decides how to turn those findings into a separate execution workflow.

BEST FIT

Choose SEO Receipts when you need…

  • A public organic traffic claim with a source behind it
  • A stable proof link for a launch, portfolio, media kit, or case study
  • Leaderboard discovery, an embeddable badge, or a share image
  • One bounded private SEO task instead of another open dashboard

BEST FIT

Choose Search Console when you need…

  • The authoritative first-party interface for your Google Search presence
  • Detailed filtering by query, page, country, device, date, and search appearance
  • URL Inspection, sitemap, indexing, enhancement, and property-management tools
  • Direct access to the newest features and definitions Google provides

USE THEM TOGETHER

Analyze at the source. Publish the narrow claim.

The cleanest workflow uses Search Console as the operating system for the property and SEO Receipts as the public proof layer. The receipt should support a specific claim, not pretend to summarize every part of SEO.

  1. 01

    Investigate in Search Console

Use Google's reports and filters to understand the change, its dimensions, and any data limitations.

  2. 02

    Connect read-only

Allow SEO Receipts to list the eligible properties and read performance data without permission to modify the site.

  3. 03

    Choose the disclosure

Publish the property-level receipt and decide whether top queries or top pages should be visible.

  4. 04

    Link proof to context

Share the receipt beside your explanation of the work, timing, limits, and business result.

READ THE FINE PRINT

Search Console metrics have definitions and limits.

Clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position are Search Console metrics, not interchangeable measures of sessions, people, conversions, or revenue. Aggregation and data availability can affect what you see. The receipt preserves the source; it does not remove the need to interpret the source correctly.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Before you connect.

Does SEO Receipts replace Google Search Console?

No. Search Console remains the first-party source and the broader property workspace. SEO Receipts adds public verification, distribution, rankings, and an optional private execution workflow.

Does SEO Receipts write anything to Search Console?

No. The Search Console connection requests the webmasters.readonly scope. It cannot change your site, sitemaps, or Search Console settings.

Why not just share a Search Console screenshot?

A screenshot is easy to crop, detach from its source, or leave online after it becomes stale. A receipt keeps the property, reporting window, source, and current verification state together on a stable public URL.

Will the numbers always match every Search Console table?

Not necessarily. Search Console can aggregate data differently by property, page, query, and other dimensions. Compare like-for-like date windows and dimensions, and treat property-level totals as different from a sum of visible rows.

TRY THE PROOF LAYER

Keep the source. Add a receipt people can open.

Connect read-only, choose one property, and decide exactly what belongs on the public record.
