Three relationships. One is mostly noise.
ρ = Spearman rank correlation · better suited to skewed leaderboard data02 / THE PLOTTER
Commits vs. Revenue
Above the log-scale best-fit line by 1.29 orders of magnitude on the selected y-axis.
03 / WHAT JUMPS OUT
The leaderboard tells a stranger story than “ship more.”
of revenue variation tracks with commits on a log scale.
The raw Pearson score rises to 0.21, but collapses to 0.04 after the long revenue tail is normalized. A few big earners are doing nearly all the work.
